Its that time of year again, when all us cooks have to make the christmas pudding/cake, so that its ready for the christmas table, it is best to make these a couple of months in advance so it can mature properly, but who said you can't have a bit of fun and a good laugh while making these, so here is an alternative method in making christmas pudding/cake, hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I have!!!
Once again this year, I’ve had requests for my Vodka Christmas Cake recipe so here goes. Please keep in your files as I am beginning to get tired of typing this up every year! (Made mine this past weekend!!!!)
One is made of fruit. The other is caffeinated. So a smoothie is a healthier option than a coffee, right? Don't be so sure, says Michael Mosley, as he weighs the evidence.
Which is healthier - coffee or smoothies?
It seems obvious that the answer must be a smoothie. After all, drinking coffee is a necessary evil while having a smoothie, made from fruit, is part of your five-a-day. But when you look into the scientific studies they reveal something much more surprising. Let's start with coffee.
There have been numerous claims down the years that drinking coffee will increase your risk of a whole range of terrible things from heart disease to cancer.
Well yesterday (14th May 2015) started out like any other normal day, got up fed the dogs, did all my housework, you know normal things when you have a day of work, got it all done by lunchtime.
Then just after lunchtime the girl from upstairs came down and said she had locked her self out of her appartment, so like the good neighbours, I gave her my phone to call the landlord, so the landlord said to cut the fly net from the bathroom window and climb through it, so gave her a knife and went upstairs with her, the window is 6 foot of the ground and about 16 inches square, so backdown stairs and get a set of step ladders, back upstairs again and the girl goes up ladder and cuts the fly screen on three sides, then trys to get in the window, not going to happen, us women have certain assest the stop us from squeezing into to tight spaces.

Halloumi or hallumi : (Greek: χαλούμι or χαλλούμι; Turkish: hellim; Arabic: حلوم ḥallūm) is a Cypriot semi-hard, un-ripened brined cheese made from a mixture of goat's and sheep's milk, and sometimes also cow's milk. It has a high melting point and so can easily be fried or grilled. Halloumi is set with rennet and is unusual in that no acid or acid-producing bacterium is used in its preparation.
Halloumi is popular in Cyprus, Greece and the Levant.
Halloumi cheese originated in Cyprus and was initially made during the Medieval Byzantine period (AD 395 – 1191), subsequently gaining popularity throughout the Middle East region.
