YorkshirePuddingYorkshire pudding is an English side dish made from batter consisting of eggs, flour, and milk. The dish is sometimes served with beef and gravy and is a staple of the traditional British Sunday roast joint. It may also be served as a dessert.

{tab Ingredients} 

  • 125 grams Plain Flour
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 medium Egg
  • 150 ml Beer
  • 150 ml Milk/Water, mixed
  • 25 grams Dripping/Lard

{tab Instructions} 

  1. Sieve flour and salt into a bowl.
  2. Make a well in the centre and add egg and about ⅓ of the liquid.
  3. With a wooden spoon mix to a smooth batter.
  4. Add another ⅓ liquid and beat for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in remaining liquid.
  6. Let rest for about 30 minutes.
  7. Stir well before using.
  8. Heat oven to 230˚C and, heat 25 grams dripping/lard in a shallow tin, approximately 22 cm square.
  9. Pour batter into hot fat.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
