  • 225 grams Plain Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 25 grams Lard
  • 6 tablespoons Milk/Water, mixed
  • 1 small Egg Yolk
  • 2 teaspoon Water
  • 50 grams Lard

{tab Instructions} 

  1. Warm flour and salt and sieve into a warmed bowl.
  2. Rub in 25 grams lard into the flour.
  3. Put the milk/water and 50 grams lard into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
  4. Pour at once into the middle of the flour and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon.
  5. Then add the egg yolk, mixed with 2 teaspoonfuls of water.
